The QDAcity Startup at FAU Erlangen-Nürnberg
QDAcity [Q'dacity] emerged from a research project within the Friedrich Alexander University Erlangen-Nürnberg in the area of open source software and research methods.
We want to help students and researchers stay on top of their data analysis and make it easier for them to work in their research field.
Our QDAcity Team
Our main team consists of Andreas, Julian and Julia which are the main developers of QDAcity. They are fulltime developing on the scientific project and moving it forward to someday found a startup from it. The rest of the team mainly consists of students which are writing their final theses or working a student job at QDAcity. The founding story of QDAcity
Andreas, our CEO, started developing QDAcity because of his dissertation. He needed a QDA tool to test hypotheses with. He quickly noticed that existing software solutions had deficits in collaborative work and were often overloaded with functions that were hardly or never used. It also quickly became clear that a cloud application would bring great advantages to the workflow. You could access everything from anywhere and continue working on it. We see this as a beneficial product and have therefore developed QDAcity not only for us, but also for others.
